At Deadpool fan events in New York and Los Angeles, fans who came for a fun event with some footage from the Deadpool film were instead treated to a surprise screening of the entire moving. The New York screening was introduced by Ryan Reynolds , while in Los Angeles, the list of attendees included Deadpool creator Rob Liefield , the-man-the-myth-the-legend Stan Lee , TJ Miller (Weasel), screenwriters Rhett Rheese and Paul Wernick , director Tim Miller and Brianna Hildebrand (Negasonic Teenage Warhead).
Fans departed the surprise screening of Deadpool in rapturous droves. Some of them took to Twitter to share their overwhelmingly positive impressions of Deadpool :
Well, hell, you guys. They went and made an amazingly awesome, fun, exciting #Deadpool movie. It's outstanding.

Fans were excited over “a ton of great Easter eggs and jokes/references” and described the movie as having “a lot of heart, and some awesome serious moments including jaw dropping action scenes.” For those wondering whether or not Deadpool earns its R rating, be assured : “ death, dismemberment, gore, sex, nudity - it’s about as R-rated as an R-rated movie can be.”
LITERALLY BEST MARVEL MOVIE. I was lowkey hella doubtful but by far best executed movie i've seen in a long time.

Even doubters were won over, with one fan stating , “Previous writers haven’t done deadpool justice. But they definitely did amazing on this.” As to the quality of the humor, those fearing Memepool need not quake : “ All his jokes were seemingly justified.”

After an ingenious marketing campaign that included advertisements such as the emoji one below:
This idiotic/brilliant billboard is why I'm all in on the DEADPOOL movie. I'm an easy lay. pic.twitter.com/jSRorPvaCp

(Skullpoopl? It must be Skullpoopl.)
And this hilariously misleading Valentine’s day advertisement:

Deadpool comes out in theatres for the rest of us Feb. 12. Will you be there?
