The game that was responsible for several broken PS3 controllers is being remade. One of the most important titles from FromSoftware, Demon’s Souls will be coming to PlayStation 5. The remake was rumored a while back, but now we have an actual trailer. You can watch it below yourself.
The original Demon’s Souls was released back in 2009 as a PS3 exclusive title. It became an instant hit with both fans and critics. This game is the reason the Dark Souls franchise exists. Sony wants to reintroduce Demon’s Souls to the next-generation of players.
The game is a complete remake and is being developed by Bluepoint Games. They are the same developers behind the amazing remaster of Shadow of the Colossus. Bluepoint Games is known for making high-quality remasters. The Demon’s Souls remake is being built from the ground up, and will feature a brand-new mode called ‘Fractured Mode’. The remake will feature ray tracing and much better graphics. Players can even choose between two graphic options, one will enhance fidelity while the other option will increase the frame rate.
As mentioned above, the original Demon’s Souls was a PlayStation exclusive title. Looks like the remake will also follow suit. As of now, Demon’s Souls is only confirmed for PlayStation 5. While a PC port doesn’t seem that probable, there might be a very small chance. A few months back, Sony announced that Horizon Zero Dawn will launch on PC later this year. We would love to see other PS titles on PC, especially Demon’s Souls.
