Bungie has stated in its latest community post that Destiny 2 players will have a very busy weekend. First, there is a unique playlist where players will be match-made to different platforms. But before that, the Vault of Glass is returning this Saturday, May 22 at 1 p.m. EST.
Cross-Play Beta
When the Season of the Splicer was released, the Cross-Play feature was enabled by accident due to a bug. This was a blessing in disguise for developers because they’ve found out that people were mingling with one another regardless of platform.
While the original intent was to release this feature in Season 15, the devs decided to roll out the Cross-Play Beta next week.
From May 25 to May 27, there will be a special Vanguard Strikes “Cross-Play Beta” playlist available for PS4, Xbox One, and Google Stadia Destiny 2 players.
Any data gathered during the event will help developers iron out problems before its official release next season.
Vault of Glass Makes a Comeback
A classic dungeon from the original game is making a return. Players will have a chance of getting the “World First Title” by completing the objectives of the “Tempo’s Edge Triumph.”
To make it fair, the developer disabled the Star-Eater Scales hunter exotic in the first 24 hours of the raid. This is because using the exotic armor piece buffs the damage of some abilities more than what was intended. But do not worry as it will be re-enabled the next day.
Prime Items for Everyone
Bungie has partnered with Amazon Prime and has initiated the “Prime Gaming” initiative. What this means is players can acquire certain exotic weapons, sparrows, and ornaments just by linking their Bungie account to Amazon Prime.
Those who will link their accounts now will get these items from Amanda Holliday in the game:
- Book of the Dead Exotic Ornament
- Vigilance Wing Exotic Pulse Rifle
- House of Light Legendary Ghost Projection
- Ravager’s Ride Exotic Sparrow
So, are you excited about these events?
