Just when we thought Bungie was finished talking about the Age of Triumph, the last in-game event for Destiny before the studio turns its attention to the sequel due out later this year, a new launch trailer has been released to maintain excitement for the patch’s late March debut. There won’t be much new information, if you’ve been keeping up with Bungie’s recent Age of Triumph live streams, but some neat surprises await those who don’t know much about the event.
The Age of Triumph won’t begin until next week -- March 28, to be specific -- but we already know most what we’ll see when the event begins. Destiny’s final event will include the largest record book since the feature was introduced to Bungie’s shared-world shooter, and will even tie into a limited edition t-shirt coming to the studio’s webstore. Updated versions of all four raids will be available to the entire community, along with new armor sets that can be recovered from each, and Bungie is also taking this opportunity to introduce exotic versions of several fan-favorite legendary firearms. It’s not exactly the world’s most complicated in-game event. But it should be just enough to give players a few more positive memories about Destiny before the long wait for Destiny 2’s unconfirmed September debut.
