A new Moments of Triumph event has been announced by Bungie , as part of the studio’s annual Bungie Day festivities, complete with new rewards for Destiny players who complete two or more challenges from this year’s list. But the clock is already ticking, so if you’re hoping to finish all of the Year Two Moments of Triumph, you’ll probably want to get started as soon as possible.
While we’ve yet to be given a formal deadline by Bungie, last year’s Moments of Triumph event concluded with the beginning of Year Two, which began the day Destiny: The Taken King hit store shelves. Presumably, that means the window for this year’s Moments of Triumph will close when Destiny: Rise Of Iron heads to PS4 and Xbox One in mid-September. It’s also possible this will be the last Destiny event available on both current and last-gen hardware, given the significantly reduced support PS3/360 players will see after Rise Of Iron hits stores.
Four rewards for this year’s challenge have already been revealed. We’re not sure what the entry-level prize will be; however, those who finish four Moments of Triumph (reaching Tier 2 in the process) will earn the Caelestis armor shader. Those who reach Tier 3 will receive the Shield of the Traveler emblem, followed by the Dawncaller armor shader (Tier 4) and the Hear the Call emblem (Tier 5). Bungie also says any player who finishes the entire list will “unlock an offering in the Bungie Store that will enable you to commemorate your complete triumph over evil.”
Destiny: Rise Of Iron is in development for PS4 and Xbox One. The next Destiny expansion debuts Sept. 20.
