A new trailer for Destroy All Humans! 2: Reprobed just dropped, and it confirms a very welcome feature for players who long for simpler times in their earlier gaming days. The new trailer focuses on the co-op side of things for Destroy All Humans! 2: Reprobed, revealing the playability of the full game with a friend, family, or partner via split-screen, a feature utilized less and less these days. Check out the zany, action-packed trailer below.
The trailer shows off a horizontal split-screen setup, and it seems developer Black Forest Games also took some liberty on how it works. Both top and bottom panels have about a fourth of their areas dedicated to a small square, with the top one acting as a mission brief/log while the bottom one acts as a mini-map. It’s significantly different from the original Destroy All Humans 2, which featured a simple vertical split-screen setup. However, riding the UFO still appears to be a pure co-op affair, as the screen switches to the regular one once both players are inside the vehicle.
Destroy All Humans! 2: Reprobed is coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S, and PC via Steam on August 30. The Standard Edition is available across all platforms for $39.99, while a special Dressed to Skill Edition is also available for $54.99.
With the game now up for pre-orders on all platforms, THQ Nordic also revealed another special offer. Players who pre-order Destroy All Humans! 2: Reprobed will instantly receive Destroy All Humans! Clone Carnage, a multiplayer standalone spinoff that supports up to four-player online co-op. Destroy All Humans! Clone Carnage is also available as a standalone purchase for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and other platforms for $12.99.
The Dressed to Skill Edition will include all bonuses in the Standard Edition of Destroy All Humans! 2: Reprobed plus a skin pack immediately available once the game launches. A separate Challenges DLC is also launching on the Dressed to Skill Edition sometime in Q4 2022.
