A new patch has been released for Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls and Ultimate Evil Edition , the label given to the game’s PS4 and Xbox One ports, featuring various quality of life fixes, an all-new Armory feature and the console debut of Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls ’ popular Seasons mode.
The Armory will be the biggest change for PC players. Diablo 3 ’s newest feature gives players the ability to create five unique builds for each of their characters. Casual players may not have much use for the feature, but those who enjoy tackling the game’s toughest challenges will undoubtedly appreciate the ease with which they can swap their skills and armor to fit the current situation. Inventory management is also getting easier, now that crafting materials are collected and stored in a separate section of the UI, freeing up valuable room in your bag.
This week’s patch also introduces Primal Ancients, new versions of legendary gear with perfect stats. Primal Ancient drops will always target the class you’re currently playing and appear with the maximum number of sockets. Your first Primal Ancient has to come from a level 70 Greater Rift. But the first drop gives players the ability to recover Primal Ancients throughout the game.
Update 2.5.0 also introduces Seasons to Diablo 3: Ultimate Evil Edition . The feature has been available to PC players for about three years now, but is finally making the jump to PS4 and Xbox One. Console players hoping to learn more about the new feature are encouraged to check out Blizzard’s sprawling Seasons FAQ while they wait for the game to finish patching. The first console season begins next Friday, March 31.
