The treacherous and chaotic world of Diablo 4 may be intimidating, but it is not without its charms. It is a place worth exploring and to make that a bit easier, the developer added mounts to the game. Although, getting them is quite tricky.
The quest to obtain mountable creatures can be started early in the game, but it can't be completed until much later. Our guide will detail everything you need to know about getting a mount.
How to Get a Mount
Early in the campaign, you will visit the city of Kyovashad and there lies a stable master. Interacting with him will begin the quest Donan's Favor. However, it can't be completed until Act 4, which means you will be exploring a good chunk of the game without a mount.
Upon reaching Act 4, you will receive the quest A Master's Touch. When that happens, visit the Cathedral of Light in Kyovashad and talk to Donan. After speaking to him, hurry back to the stable master you interacted with earlier. He will now have the Old Nell Steed ready for you. Two additional mounts, namely, Grey Steed and Mottled Steed, will also be available for purchase for 20,000 each.
Once you have a mount, it should give you an advantage over your enemies. While exploring the game world of Diablo 4, most enemies will tend to avoid your mount, at least for a brief period. However, if you come too close to them or accidentally collide with one, they will become hostile and chase you.
