Diablo Immortal Terror’s Tide Update is now available on all supported platforms. Aside from new Hell Difficulties and Paragon Trees, the game’s second major patch also introduces five new Legendary Gems that can help improve your builds.
New Legendary Gems
Legendary Gems in Diablo Immortal are things that you can insert in your Legendary Gear to unlock different bonuses. That said, there are five new Legendary Gems in the recently released Terror’s Tide Update.
The first on the list is the Heartstone - a one-star gem that increases the duration of your absorb shields by 36%. Besides that, it reduces the duration of crowd control effects by 24% when the gem’s effect is active. This is something that you should consider if you want to improve your survivability.
A more balanced gem in terms of what it can do, the Kir Sling gives you a 15% chance to release a blinding light to all nearby enemies when attacked. Blinded enemies not only receive 14% more damage, but they also have a total loss of control for several seconds. This effect has a 20-second cooldown before it activates again, though, so don’t rely on it too much.
If you want to go offensive, you might find the new Volatility Shard quite appealing. This Legendary Gem triggers an explosion that deals 90% of your base damage plus 365 to all nearby enemies when you defeat a foe. What’s more, it grants you an 8% damage buff for two seconds. Even though these effects do not occur more than once every six seconds, the relatively short cooldown still makes the gem a pretty good addition to your collection.
Another Legendary Gem that you might find enticing is Concentrated Will. When using a Dash skill, you will summon a Guardian Angel that unleashes a blast of holy light, dealing 135% base damage plus 547 to all enemies in your path. That’s not all! When the angel returns to the High Heavens, it grants you a 16% boost to your damage and movement speed for two seconds. Just like the previously-mentioned gem, these effects do not occur more than once every six seconds.
The last Legendary Gem of the bunch is the Hellfire Fragment. Using a skill conjures three hellfire blazes around you, which seek enemies out within six yards. Upon contact, these hellfire blazes explode for 108% of your base damage plus 510 to all nearby enemies. Any foe struck by these things multiple times takes 50% additional damage from subsequent hits. The 20-second cooldown might discourage you from using this, but its effect can help improve your clear speed, especially when you’re taking on more difficult content.
So, which of these new Legendary Gems caught your attention? Which ones are you going to use in your build?
