After weeks of anticipation, the long-awaited Dying Light: The Following DLC finally arrives on Tuesday, Feb. 9. The downloadable expansion takes protagonist Kyle Crane to uncharted territory when he goes to investigate a map that was found on a wounded man. According to the map, a mysterious community of people immune to the zombie virus was located just outside Harran.
The new Dying Light: The Following DLC expansion will introduce us to new weapons like the crossbow and a new dune buggy vehicle as well. All in all, Dying Light "The Following" expansion producer Tymon Smektala said in an interview with Videogamer that the DLC will bring 20 hours of new gameplay. However, for those that are still asking for more, a new Dying Light: The Following -- Enhanced Edition arrives on Tuesday as well.
As the moniker suggests, Enhanced Edition offers a little more with various upgrades including New gameplay systems, a new punishing difficulty level, improved enemy AI and more.
Trailers of the upcoming Dying Light: The Following DLC expansion have been shared on YouTube for as much as three months and it looks like there's one final trailer still before the release date tomorrow:
The trailer from IGN replays a number of scenes that were found in past trailers, but the biggest takeaway from the video can be scene at the 1:11 mark. Is that a new zombie? The complexion reminds us of the masks worn by the new cult society that Kyle Crane is tasked to find. Did the so-called "zombie virus immunity" come at a bizarre cost?
