With the release of Digimon Adventure Tri Part 3 in Japanese theaters starting Sept. 24, Toei Animation has released -- via Anime News Network -- a new 30-second commercial for the third film in the series.
The third movie, titled Confession, will continue the story of the original Digidestined as they combat a new threat to the Digital and real worlds. Take a look at the new commercial below.
From the looks of the poster for the third movie and the above commercial, TK and Patomon and Izzy and Tentomon will be the focus of this installment, after Tai and Matt had the spotlight in the first film and Mimi and Joe in the second.
After the events of the second film, it seems the Digidestined have a lot on their hands after the newest Digidestined, Meiko, lost her Digimon partner, Meicoomon, to a corrupting force.
Meicoomon has changed its form and returned to the Digital World, but how will the Digidestined save Meicoomon and what is its connection to the force that has corrupted the Digimon?
The Digidestined have come out of the first two parts of Digimon Tri relatively unscathed, but the latest commercial may see the group suffer a huge loss.
While Digimon Tri Part 3 debuts in Japanese theaters at the end of September, Crunchyroll will bring the next installment to its streaming service in October.
