An overview of each of the game’s story has been provided by Bandai Namco, which you can read below:
“In Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth, a bizarre encounter with a mysterious being causes you to turn into a half digital being that phases between the physical and digital world. Explore the real world and the virtual world as you gain allies, collect and train Digimon, and try to secure your physical body back!”
“In Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth – Hacker’s Memory, players take the role as Keisuke, who has had his Eden account stolen. The original Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth was initially released for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita in 2015. The game’s sequel, Hacker’s Memory, was released in 2017 in Japan and 2018 for the west. The game has since enjoyed a solid following from its sizable anime and manga fanbase and fans of JRPGs. Currently, it enjoys a 75 out of 100 rating on Metacritic, with praise pointed towards its colorful character and level designs.
Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth was originally introduced during Bandai Namco’s Anime Expo panel titled “Future of Digimon”. Its announcement was accompanied with the news that the long awaited Digimon Survive will not be getting a 2019 release. After Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth: Complete Edition’s release, we can only hope for more news regarding Survive’s launch.
Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth: Complete Edition will launch for the Nintendo Switch on the Nintendo eShop and PC via Steam on October 18.
