Digimon World: Next Order is finally out in North America and I’ve been digivolving non-stop. If you haven’t realized yet, in order to get the exact Digimon you want in this game, you are going to need to keep an eye on your partner’s stats. Every single Digimon you fight or training session you do at the gym augments your stats in some way. If your stats are too low, your Digimon isn’t happy enough or you just miss a toilet, you are going to end up getting a Numemon.
If you want to avoid that, here’s a handy guide to getting the right Digimon in Digimon World: Next Order.
Digimon Stats And What They Mean
Digimon in Next Order digivolve after a certain number of days: one day for rookies, three days for champions, six days for ultimates and 11 days for mega. That means, a Digimon will only last 20 days. Each Digimon has six attributes and seven points that factor into what you are going to get when you digivolve.
If you want to see what stats a Digimon needs to digivolve, go to the “Stats” page in the menu and click “History.” You might not have everything unlocked at first, but as you progress you’ll be able to find out what stats a Digimon needs. The game is still new in North America and we aren’t sure if the stats needed in the Japanese version carry over, though I'm pretty sure they don't. Still, fans have been assembling their own charts with the most complete being this one.
Stats needed for evolution differ between easy and normal difficulties and both of those charts are for normal.
Here are the six basic attributes that can be trained in the gym or by fighting wild Digimon:
HP: Hit Points, the amount of damage you can take in a fight.
MP: Abilities cost MP to use in battle.
Strength: How much damage your attacks can do.
Stamina: A defense stat that affects how much damage you can take.
Wisdom: Reduces the amount of MP used for attacks.
Speed: How fast your Digimon is.
Here are the seven other determining factors:
Weight: How heavy your Digimon is, which changes depending on what type of food you give it. If a Digimon gets too fat or is too skinny, you won’t get the Digimon you want.
TM: So, this stat goes up if your Digimon don’t poop in the toilet. It’s unclear what it actually means, Training or Toilet Mistakes.
Bond: How close you are with your Digimon. It goes up or down depending on if you praise or scold it, train it or treat it poorly.
Discipline: Those blue glasses on the bottom on your Digimon stats sheet can change depending on how you treat your Digimon. A highly praised and pampered Digimon won’t have much in this stat.
Wins: How many fights this Digimon has won.
Key Digimon: Some Digimon will only grow if you have a special other partner.
Key Points: How many of these stats or points a Digimon needs to have to Digivolve. If the KP is 4, that means it needs four stats to be correct in order to digivolve.
