April 12 is upon us and that means the anticipated The Division 1.1 update is almost here. But when is it coming, exactly? According to Ubisoft, the game servers will be down for maintenance at 3 a.m. EDT, 12 a.m. PDT, to add the patch.
While The Division 1.1 update will cause the server to go down for three hours, the file size is actually relatively compact at 4.7 GB.
Obviously, the biggest addition to The Division from the 1.1 update is the "Falcon Lost" incursion event. According to Ubisoft, the surpremely challenging incursion missions will introduce a new dynamic in the game that will demand high-level (level 30) players to work as a team and develop an effective play style. "Falcon Lost" will be the first incursion and it takes place in an underground water treatment facility in the Stuyvesant area. Since the dollar flu outbreak, the facility has now become a stronghold of the Last Man Battalion.
The Division 1.1 update is definitely designed to give a little extra content for players that have already reached endgame, or the maximum level build. A push for more high-end loot is key for creating the new incursion events.
"There will be pieces of the new gear sets in the Incursion and Dark Zone that you can’t find anywhere else," said The Division game director Petter Mannerfelt in his blog.
