The anticipated The Division 1.1 update is finally slated to arrive April 12 on PS4, Xbox One and PC! So far, we know the new update introduces a number of fundamental changes to its gameplay. Following 1.1, a kill of a "named" NPC guarantees a High-End drop. That said, whether the reward will be weapons, gear, or mods remains to be seen.
Ubisoft expects the new update will establish new balance among acquiring high-end items. Currently, most players are accumulating high-end weapons and gear via crafting blueprints that are bought from venders. Players may also buy high-end guns from venders directly, but high-end items from named NPCs rarely ever happen.
The new update will intends to make crafting a more expensive option as deconstruction will not only yield less parts, but the cost of converting low-end materials to superior or high-end will also be increased.
So what does this mean for The Division players? While this means killing challenging enemies will be more rewarding in a couple days, it also means that those who are carrying a lot of loot in their stash and a lot of materials in their inventory should better get deconstructing and crafting before the update is in effect.
Purchase as many high-end blueprints from the Base of Operation's Special Gear Vender, who located at the Tech Wing. You'll need Phoenix Credits, but they can be reliably acquired via farming the bosses from the General Assembly and Police Academy missions (more on that here and here).
