The Division releases on March 8, but reddit users have already found patch notes for the first update after launch. Called “Update 1.1” on PC and “Update 1.01” for PS4, this new patch will bring many technical fixes and a few feature changes.
This information comes by way of reddit user Gus_Gus123, who found the notes in a .txt. file buried in the pre-download. The PS4 patch notes come via RedTerror98.
These patch notes have not yet been uncovered for Xbox One consoles, but given the similarities between the PC notes and the PS4 notes, it’s fair to assume that the Xbox One notes should be almost identical.
Perhaps the most mysterious aspect of all this hunting around in the game’s code is a file system named “Rogue.” Looking in here eventually points to a folder named “nyc_brooklyn.” Yes, there also is an “nyc_manhattan” folder elsewhere in the game code. Could The Division end up hopping across the East River to Brooklyn? It seems very possible.
As for when this patch will go live, that’s still up in the air. Given Ubisoft’s mention in the patch notes that this is “v1.1” this could be part of the first free content update coming in April. The video released earlier talking about updates referred to that content drop as “Version 1.1.”
As for the Update 1.1 patch notes, they can be read in full below:
