Earlier in March, we shared a The Division guide featuring a method that reliably yields some strong weapons and gear in the post-dollar flu streets of Manhattan. The stronger the opponent, the better the drops, so we recommended replaying General Assembly, the final and most intense mission of The Division. We also noted that the level of difficulty could be turned from "Normal" to "Hard." For the ambitious, we would only recommend cranking it up to "Challenging" if you're playing in a team of four.
That said, players that have completed the agent missions will know that the General Assembly mission is agonizingly long. First you have to shoot your way through the LMB and hack some annoying turrents in order to reach the General Assembly within U.N. building, and then you have to shoot your way out and take down Lieutenant Colonel Charles Bliss in a freaking chopper to complete the mission. Despite the purple weapons that the mission awards, there's no denying that the player will have to go through a lot of trouble. But now, YouTuber Simply Jay has shared a shortcut that enables you to glitch through doors and enable you to skip over large chunks of the mission without even "officially" starting it (do not pick up the bomb from the JTF at the beginning of the mission).
Abilities like the Turret and Support Station are probably the most popular among the collective of Division agents, but we won't be surprised to see more players use Mobile Cover after this video. A hilariously clever The Division glitch enables players that throw the Mobile Cover (Extension mod required) against fences or barriers to use the item and magically slide through. In just a few minutes, Simply Jay slid past the LMB, the courtyard full of laser turrets, and right into the U.N. building.
Once inside the building, activate the echo to trigger a checkpoint, which will bring out the first General Assembly bosses Rapter and Domino. Each of the bosses will drop three items once they're killed while other LMB soldiers will drop some really good loot too. Once you have picked up all the rare items, get yourself killed so that you'll respawn at the beginning of the General Assembly mission. Congratulations, you've discovered a way to repeat the Mobile Cover glitch to farm all the purple stuff!
It's a great shortcut and if the General Assembly is a daily mission, then the reward incentive is even greater should you decide to actually wrap up the mission and take Bliss down.
