Despite Ubisoft's effort to create a really good MMO shooter in The Division (and for the most part, it is really good), it seems as though human nature's tendency to cheat and exploit in order to get ahead is ruining the game. In response to the cheating epidemic, Ubisoft will actively crack down on the players that are take advantage of glitches in the game.
The Division Falcon Lost exploit has already been patched, but here are the details: Similar to the Mobile Cover glitch for the previous Police Academy and General Assembly mission exploit, players can use the mobile cover to tame Falcon Lost as well. Instead of making your way across the second floor of the water treatment facility to trigger the 15 waves, stay behind the wall the overlooks the mission area. The Mobile Cover will allow players to phase through said wall to pick off the waves below.
Not only is the Falcon Lost Incursion glitch simply an advantage of higher ground, but the position renders you invisible to both the LMB as well as the APC. Instead, the enemy fire will be focused on the JTF soldiers. To speed up the grind, enable the sticky bomb ability to pick off the Lvl 32 assholes.
"We are working on fixing the exploit," posted Ubisoft community manager Natchai Stappers on the forums. "Obviously it is against our Code of Conduct and the team is looking into what can be done in terms of punishment for those who have exploited. "
It's another simple and effective glitch that was no doubt extremely popular for the players, but Ubisoft's warning on the Ubi forums isn't messing around: Via PC Gamer, Ubi's Yannick Banchereau warned that cheaters will face a three-day ban without warning for the first offense. However, if Ubisoft finds that you've committed a second offense, then it is a permaban.
"If you're cheating, you know what you're doing," warned Banchereau.
Stay on the straight and narrow, fellow Division agents.
