DJ Khaled, Future To Preview New Music On Beats 1 Radio Friday: ‘Monster 2,’ ‘Ape Shit’ or ‘Beast Mode 2’?

DJ Khaled announced he will premiere a new Future mixtape or album on the first episode of his new Beats 1 Radio show ‘We The Best.’ DJ Khaled posted the news on Snapchat, Twitter, and Instagram today, asking fans to tune in at 8 pm EST on Friday to listen to Future’s new music.

What will Future release next, a mixtape, a new album? Could it be Beast Mode 2 with Zaytoven? Ape Shit, a collab with Mike WiLL Made-It? Or even Monster 2 produced by Metro Boomin? The Atlanta rapper has hinted that all these projects are in the works.

Future’s dropped his last project titled Purple Reign on Jan. 17. Back in August, Southside spoke with XXL Mag about Future’s latest project Dirty Sprite 2. During the interview, Southside revealed Future had eight projects ready to go on the backburner. “ He got six more albums ready right now, literally, and three more mixtapes to go with it.” Since then, Future has released What a Time To Be Alive, a collaboration with Drake, and Purple Reign .

It’s unclear what project of Future’s DJ Khaled will feature on We The Best’ Radio, however, it could be Beast Mode 2 produced by Zaytoven. A post on Instagram from 5 months ago shows Future and the producer pictured together with the hashtags #beastmode#webackcooking, hinting the duo was working on the project.

At Made In America this year, Future said on stage he will be releasing another album before the year ends. It’s unclear if he was referring to Purple Reign . “It’s gonna be another album on the way before the year is out with. Just know we ain’t stopping,” the 'Fuck Up Some Commas' rapper said.

Ape Shit, a collab with Mike WiLL Made-It, could be what Future has in store for Friday’s show. "It’s like a tape, really. Just something to just feed the streets right quick, ’cause at the end of the day me and Future do so many different types of music,” Mike WiLL told XXL last year. There is already a link for Ape Shit on Spinrilla with almost 3 million views.
