It’s only been a couple of months since The International , the latest iteration of Valve’s annual Dota 2 world championship tournament, but it looks like the Dota 2 dev team is ready to turn its attention towards the next set of events on the Dota 2 competitive calendar. And that means releasing the first batch of details on this year’s US Major, which is changing host cities in 2016, and publication of the digital guidebook we’ve come to expect alongside each major Dota 2 event.

Earlier this week, Valve revealed the first official details on the 2017 Dota 2 Major circuit. This year’s tournament series will begin with a stop in Boston, MA, home to the beloved PAX East convention, for the first in a four tournament series that will culminate with The International 7. 16 teams will be invited to the Dota 2 Boston Major, which is being hosted by PGL, with the action scheduled to begin on Dec. 7. We don’t have any information on which teams will be directly invited to the competition, and which will have to play for a seat in the Boston Major, but it’s probably safe to assume such details are coming soon. After all, we’re only about two months removed from the event, and there’s generally a set of open qualifiers before each Dota 2 Major.

Details on the Boston Major aren’t the only reason for Dota 2 fans to be excited this weekend, either. The Dota 2 Fall Battle Pass is now available for purchase, via the in-game store, granting access to a variety of new loot, quests and activities to keep the Dota community entertained during the long march towards the Boston Major. According to the announcement, the Weekend Battle Cup will also return this fall, culminating with a Champions Cup event at the end of the season. Valve says those who win the Tier-8 Champions Cup will even have a chance to compete for a spot in the Spring Major Qualifiers. The Fall 2016 Battle Pass is available now for $7.99.
