The International 10 has started and the Dota 2 matches have been exciting. At the end of Day One of the Group Stage, we get an idea of what the standings would look like. Group A had the stronger entering the top four. The same can be said for Group B and not surprisingly, it’s the Chinese teams that are on top.

Group A

Here are the current standings for this group:

  • Invictus Gaming: 5-1
  • OG: 5-1
  • Virtus.pro: 5-1
  • Evil Geniuses: 4-2
  • Team Undying: 3-3
  • Alliance: 2-4
  • T1: 0-4
  • Team Aster: 0-4
  • Thunder Predator: 0-4

The top four teams in this group started strong with all of them sweeping their respective opponents on the first match of the day. By the second set of matches, this would continue except for Invictus Gaming, who had a draw with Undying.

The third set of matches had them going against each other with Virtus.pro getting a draw with OG. Evil Geniuses, meanwhile, had a difficult time against IG and couldn’t get a win.

In terms of our prediction, so far, it looks like we’re on track. Day Two may likely be the same as Day One with the top four teams continuing their dominance.

Day Two looks to be another day of exciting matches. If you don’t have time to watch them, we suggest you look forward to these ones:

  • Virtus.pro vs. T1 (October 8 at 5:00 a.m. EDT)
  • Invictus Gaming vs. Virtus.pro (October 8 at 9:00 a.m. EDT)

Group B

Here are the current standings for this group:

  • PSG.LGD: 4-0
  • Elephant: 3-1
  • Vici Gaming: 3-1
  • Beastcoast: 2-2
  • Fnatic: 2-2
  • Team Secret: 2-2
  • Quincy Crew: 0-2
  • SG esports: 0-2
  • Team Spirit: 0-4

PSG.LGD just showed everybody why it is one of the favorites in this year’s TI. In their four games for Day One, it ended just within 30 minutes. The other two Chinese teams were also not kidding around. It’s interesting to note though that Elephant and Vici Gaming lost a game each to Fnatic.

Despite losing to Elephant in its first match, Beastcoast managed to bounce back by beating Team Secret 2–0.

Prediction-wise, we’re on track as of Day One. If the trend continues, then all we need to look forward to is who gets the fourth spot.

Matches to watch in this group for Day Two are:

  • Elephant vs. Vici Gaming (October 8 at 3:00 a.m. EDT)
  • PSG.LGD vs. Fnatic (October 8 at 7:00 a.m. EDT)
  • Team Secret vs. Elephant (October 8 at 11:00 a.m. EDT)
