The different Dota 2 teams are in the final stages of their preparation as the fight for the Aegis of Champions starts this Thursday. While players have their hands full at The International, fans should ready themselves to join the fun. Here are some of the ways to do that.
The first is through the new website for The International, which can be accessed here. On this site, fans can watch live matches and VODs. They can even see tournament standings as well as team details. There's even a Spoiler Block feature so everyone can enjoy the tournament at their own pace.
Reward Line
It was in September when Valve officially launched The International 2021 Compendium. There were a lot of features offered, which you can read more about here. Anyway, this Compendium also offers a new reward line that features The International 2021 Lineage Treasure. It has nine of the hero sets that have been released in the past but reworked with this year’s black and gold.
To get rewards, players need Compendium Points. Here are the different ways to earn them:
- Make Tournament Predictions and earn points by simply filling out each category. It goes without saying that more points are earned for each correct prediction.
- Fill out the Player Card rosters and earn points for having 1/8/18 full teams.
- Choose the Fantasy lineups for each day:
- At the end of each day, players in the top 10%/25%/50% of total fantasy points earned for that day get Compendium Points.
- Those who land at the top 10%/25%/50% overall score get another big bonus bundle of points at the end of the event.
- Once the Group Stage is done, fill in the Bracket Predictions for the Main Event. Earn Compendium Points based on correct predictions.
- While watching matches during the Group Stage and Main Event, fans can try their luck at In-Game Predictions and earn 100 Compendium Points per correct prediction, up to six per day.
- Join a Supporter's Club and get 200 Compendium Points whenever the supported team wins a match, up to a max of 10,000 points.
Talent Support
Besides teams and players, fans can also support their favorite casters and talent by buying their Talent Autographs. The base-level autograph is priced at $0.99. It features the picture and signature of the talent on an item, which can then be highlighted on your profile.
The autograph can be leveled up at $0.99 per level to unlock additional rewards. At level 5, it unlocks a custom chat wheel line directly from the talent. Levels 10/20/50 unlock bronze, silver, and gold borders that allow fans to show off their fandom in style. By the way, 50% of all Talent Autograph sales go directly to the talent.
