The Dota 2 Summit 13 Online continues to rage as two regions are set to have their Playoffs begin. Expect to see some really interesting matches coming up in the Dota 2 Summit 13 Online. The regions that are beginning their playoffs are the Americas and Southeast Asia. That doesn’t mean that matches in the Europe/CIS won’t be as exciting, since there’s a good roster of teams participating.
Southeast Asia
Even with the absence of some major teams, the competition remained fierce. Fnatic wasn’t able to join due to lack of members while Geek Fam is no more.
The region’s top teams that were invited to the tournament performed as expected. It’s interesting to know that Adroit Esports appears to be going back to its old form. During the SEA Leg of the BTS Pro Series Season 3, it was Motivate.Trust Gaming and BOOM Esports that fought in the Grand Final, with the former winning the tournament. There’s a chance that MG.Trust could make this two for two.
The matches for the Playoffs are:
- Upper Bracket
- Motivate.Trust Gaming vs Adroit Esports
- TNC Predator vs Among Us
- Lower Bracket
- BOOM Esports vs Cignal Ultra
- Neon Esports vs 496 Gaming
Americas
This region has teams from both North and South competing. That said, Quincy Crew has the momentum going for them, and they are showing it in this tournament. A possible contender appears to be 4 Zoomers, which currently is second in the standings.
Other notable teams like beastcoast and Infamous are in the bottom four. It’s not at all that surprising that the two teams that managed to join through the qualifiers have been eliminated already.
The matches for the Playoffs in this region are:
- Upper Bracket
- Quincy Crew vs Thunder Predator
- 4 Zoomers vs Team Zero
- Lower Bracket
- beastcoast vs Team Brasil
- catjAMMERS vs Infamous
Europe & CIS
We now move on to this region and see what’s been happening. So far, the opening matches for the Group Stage have started. Both mudgolems and Live to Win managed to win against their respective opponents. Live to Win is pretty interesting since it’s composed of players from the CIS region. Making it even more interesting is that three of the team members belong to other teams, though all have inactive status.
In the other group, Khan and Ninjas in Pyjamas got their own wins. Khan’s match with 5men, while taking the series to the limit, had games that ended just above 20 minutes.
The upcoming matches for this region are Winners’ Matches, with:
- mudgolems vs Live to Win
- Ninjas in Pyjamas vs Khan.
Don’t worry as you won’t have to wait long for the Playoffs, which are expected to start on November 7.
