The latest update for Dota 2 is finally here and there are some truly interesting changes made. One of these is on an item that's surely changing the gameplay. In particular, players can now toggle the Divine Rapier between two modes. The first one gives an extra +250 Damage while the second one gives +25% Spell Amplification. The cooldown is 6s.
This is indeed a big change considering that before the update, the item provided a 25% Spell Amplification by default. It also means that the default damage bonus is now +100 instead of +350. Overall this makes it a fun item to use.
Give Me the Buff
Some items have also experienced changes and let's start with the buffs. Those who like to use Eye of Skadi should be happy to know that both Health bonus and Mana bonus have been increased and now at +250.
The Helm of the Dominator, as well as the Helm of the Overlord now has Dominate giving the caster the gold bounty of the dominated creep. Meanwhile Shadow Walk, which are abilities of Shadow Blade and Silver Edge, has its duration increased to 17s.
Drop the Nerf
For items that have been nerfed, there's quite a few of them. The Chain Lightning proc chance is now at 25%, down from 30%. These are for items Maelstrom, Gleipnir, and Mjollnir.
Black King Bar has been nerfed further with cooldown now increased to 95s. The cooldown for Energy Charge of Magic Stick has been increased as well to 17s with the Magic Wand also upped and now at 15s. Another item which has cooldown increased is the Mirror Image for Manta Style. It's now at 34s from 30s.
