Dragon Ball FighterZ, despite being one of the best games of early 2018, has seen plenty of online issues. Bandai Namco has begun to fix these problems with a series of patches starting in late February. In a short video titles “Roadmap for Patches,” Tomoko Hiroki, producer at Bandai Namco, thanks the fans for picking up Dragon Ball FighterZ and acknowledges her team is aware of the online issues especially with Ring Matches. Check out the video below.
A patch is planned for late February , however, Hiroki wants players to understand that this first update will not likely fix everything. Two more patches coming in mid and late March will gradually resolve disconnections during online matches and the inability for some players to fight using Ring Matches.
Online issues have persisted since the release of Dragon Ball FighterZ on Jan. 26. The problem with Ring Matches popped up in its first weekend with players not being able to connect with friends and receiving the “no rooms” prompt.
Once we get more news on the upcoming February patch for Dragon Ball FighterZ we will update the story. The upcoming patches to fix the online issues may also come with character balances so keep an eye out for more changes that may come.
Bandai Namco and Arc System Works are working to fix these issues as they get ready for the upcoming paid DLC, which includes Bardock and Broly as brand new characters to the game. Not to mention Dragon Ball FighterZ will be featured at this year’s EVO tournament. The fighting game will be joined by other powerhouses like Injustice 2, Super Smash Bros, Street Fighter V and many more.
Dragon Ball FighterZ is available now for PS4, Xbox One and PC.
