A new Dragon Ball Fusions trailer has been released by Bandai Namco and it shows off more gameplay footage for the upcoming Nintendo 3DS game.
What’s new about this trailer is how it explains the battle system for Dragon Ball Fusions and some of the neat things you can do, such as fusing with your entire party to unleash devastating attacks.
Take a look at the latest Dragon Ball Fusions trailer below.
According to Siliconera , Dragon Ball Fusions ’ battle system relies on a timeline, which determines the order of attacks. The character closest to the right of the timeline will attack first.
The control scheme and commands are split into three parts. They are separated by Fight, which is the close-range melee attacks, Energy Ball uses Ki attacks and Special Attacks, which is your character’s most powerful attack.
Charge Ki and Check Power are also options in battle.
There is also a type triangle that classifies characters into three categories: Power, Technique and Speed. Power beats Technique, Technique beats Speed and Speed beats Power.
Ring Outs are also a means of victory in Dragon Ball Fusions . You can push back characters to the left of the timeline and keep them from attacking. By pushing your enemy back, you can pull your other party members closer to each other, which will activate Support Attacks.
Special Attacks are also classified by either the “Fight-type”, which deals more damage than the basic version of a move and blows them away. The “Energy Ball-type” aren’t as strong as the “Fight-type” but can hit multiple enemies. “Support-type” Specials have various effects like healing and buffing abilities.
The “Maxi Gauge” feature allows players to choose between either “All-Out Attack” and “Maxi-Fusion.” All-Out Attacks start an action battle mode where you perform attacks by pressing A and X for physical and energy attacks, Y and B for guarding and evading. Players can actually recruit enemies hit with All-Out Attacks.
Maxi-Fusion is an ultimate attack that allows you to fuse together with your entire party to deal devastating damage.
Dragon Ball Fusions is set to release in Japan on Aug. 4, no Western release date has been announced.
