The story of Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 continues where the first left off but incorporates a lot more characters from other parts of Dragon Ball media.
You’ll make your way through various arcs of the Dragon Ball anime/manga with some original story elements sprinkled in. But the devs of Xenoverse 2 put a secret ending into the story that will allow players to experience one more mission and unlock a never-before-seen form for a fan-favorite character.
To access this secret ending, you’ll need to obtain five Time Eggs.
Players can obtain these Time Eggs by completing every side quest in all five Time Rifts: Capsule Corp, Hercules House, Majin Buu’s House, Frieza’s Ship and Guru’s House.
Completing every single side quest will give you a Time Egg that will go towards unlocking the secret ending. While doing this, you’ll also unlock your character’s Awoken Skill so this will help with your progress.
Capsule Corporation
Vegeta will challenge your character to a series of fights. Defeat him until he recognizes your strength and gives you the Time Egg.
Buu’s House
These side quests are all about feeding Buu food until he spawns children. Keep bringing food to him and he’ll give you a Time Egg once five members of his family are born.
Guru’s House
The Namekian side quests are a tad redundant as you’ll have defeat and retrieve a certain number of enemies and Dragon Balls whenever they are attacked (which is quite often). Once you complete Nail’s first round of quests, you ability maxes are increased but to obtain the Time Egg, you’ll need to do them all a second time.
Also, if you fall in battle or if time runs out you’ll have to get the Dragon Balls back from Frieza’s Ship, which makes the quests even more difficult.
Hercule’s House
Hercule’s quests don’t lead to you obtaining the Time Egg, they are just there for money. However, you’ll want to talk to the Great Saiyaman.
His quests consist of simple battles, reviving allies or retrieving lost parts but you’ll need to complete them all for him to give you a Time Egg.
Frieza’s Ship
To gain the Time Egg from Frieza, you’ll need to join his army and move up the ranks by completing all the tasks Zarbon and Ginyu have for you. Then, the tyrant will accept you as a part of his army and you’ll gain the Time Egg.
UNLOCKING THE SECRET ENDING
Now, once you have all five Time Eggs you can find the Supreme Kai of Time in the Time Nest where you’ll be whisked into the secret ending.
SPOILER ALERT! THE FOLLOWING WILL SPOIL SOME EVENTS OF THE MAIN STORY PROCEED WITH CAUTION.
In the secret ending, you’ll be treated to a scene where Bardock (the father of Goku) takes Mira into a portal where the two will do battle.
This is a very tough fight and has various parts to it. The first is Bardock facing off against Mira and once you go down to a certain percentage of health, Bardock will unlock his Super Saiyan form. After more of you health is depleted, Super Saiyan 2 will activate and Super Saiyan 3 will eventually unlock.
It is then up to you to defeat Mira using Super Saiyan 3 Bardock, which is still no easy task. Once you do, you will unlock SS3 Bardock into your character roster.
