The Group Stage of the Dota 2 DreamLeague Season 11 is over and the Playoffs are now underway. At stake in this latest Dota 2 Major is a prize pool of $1 million and 15,000 DPC points.

The initial results of the Playoffs have revealed the unpredictability of Dota 2 tournaments. In the first match, Chinese team PSG.LGD dominated Mineski 2-0 on Wang "Ame" Chunyu's Juggernaut in the first match and his Phantom Assassin in the second.

The second match was a surprise, as Vici Gaming won 2-1 against Team Secret. Team Secret took the first game with Yeik "MidOne" Nai Zheng's Outworld Devourer scoring 11 kills. The StarLadder Imba TV winner fought back and took the second game, despite an initial lead by Team Secret. In the third game, VG secured the win with Zhang "Paparazi" Chengjun's Morphling raking in 19 kills and Zhou "Yang" Haiyang's Pugna contributing with 10 kills.

The third match was a surprise as well, with Keen Gaming taking the win versus Evil Geniuses. EG won the first game in under 25 minutes, but it was Keen Gaming who won the second game in a 50-minute match. Keen Gaming wound up winning the third game in under 30 minutes.

The last upper bracket match saw Virtus.pro play against Fnatic. The SEA team won the first match with Fnatic taking the second game on the performance of Pyo "MP" No-a's Lifestealer.

With these results, the Upper Bracket Round 2 features three Chinese teams and one SEA team competing for a spot at the semi-finals.

The biggest news so far is the fact that two top-tier team are eliminated. Team Liquid was placed in Group A and placed third behind Team Secret and Keen Gaming. This meant that Team Liquid will go to the Lower Bracket. Here they were matched against South American team Chaos Esports Club in a best-of one. The match lasted just a bit above 20 minutes, with Chaos EC taking the win.

Meanwhile, EHOME placed third in Group C, behind Virtus.pro and Mineski. EHOME also dropped to the Lower Bracket. The story plays out the same here. as EHOME fought against another South American team, Infamous, in their own best-of one. The match was a surprise, as Infamous dominated the competition. Infamous won with 23 total kills versus EHOME's six total kills.
