The Eagles of Death Metal returned to France Tuesday to perform a concert at the Olympia Theater just three months after the ISIL terrorist attacks in Paris that killed 89 fans at the Bataclan.

During an interview with i-Télé , Eagles of Death Metal frontman Jesse Hughes spoke about why he wanted to come back to Paris and resume tour. “I can’t let the bad guys win. We have to finish this not for anyone else, just for us, and of course I’m talking about everyone who was at the Bataclan, and by extension everyone who was watching. This was the only thing I could do personally to begin to get myself better.”

Last year on Nov. 13, 130 people were killed and more than 350 injured in a series of three shootings and attacks by ISIL across Paris. The Eagles of Death Metal's first performance back in Paris since that tragic night was in early December. Alongside U2, the band performed at a cover of Patti Smith's "People Have the Power" at AccorHotels Arena, and closed the concert with "I Love You All the Time."
