The Kickstarter campaign for the recently announced Eiyuden Chronicles: Hundred Heroes has just concluded, running from July 28 to August 28. Starting off with a goal of $500,000 for a PC release, funding has since reached almost 900% of this objective, getting to $4.57 million. This means that Eiyuden Chronicles hit all its stretch goals, adding a handful of additional content. Developer Rabbit & Bear Studios has listed down the additional content that the studio will be able to deliver, as well as the platforms it has already been confirmed for.
With more than 44 stretch goals achieved, it is going to be quite a wall of text if we put all the extras for Eiyuden Chronicle here, so I’ll list down the most notable ones (you can check out all of the achieved goals for the Kickstarter here). First off is the availability of Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes on consoles, which was unlocked by reaching $1 million. Eiyuden Chronicles: Hundred Heroes will now also be released for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and Xbox One in addition to its original PC release.
Next is the addition of multiple localizations for different languages, which include Chinese, Brazilian Portuguese, Korean, and Russian. Several characters have also been confirmed to be included, such as Perielle, Yuferius VII, Maxim, Mellore, Rody, and Gocteau. Tons of game modes and mini-games have also been added like cooking, fishing, top battles, racing mini-games and more.
Finally, upon reaching $4.5 million, Rabbit & Bear Studios has also guaranteed that ‘A Quiet Place’, a companion game for Eiyuden Chronicles: Hundred Heroes, will also be developed in partnership with Japanese studio NatsumeAtari. “A Quiet Place” is a town creation RPG companion game that will release before Eiyuden Chronicles: Hundred Heroes and features a number of different “lifestyle” mini-games that “allow players to gather a variety of different materials to build up their town, farm, and house. These materials would then be transferable to the main game when it launches to provide a head-start in crafting items, armor, and more.”
Eiyuden Chronicles: Hundred Heroes is set to launch in 2022 both for current and next-gen consoles and PC via Steam. A release for the Nintendo Switch is also still a possibility, but nothing has been confirmed yet.
