Eleon Game Studios has put up a new beta patch for Empyrion - Galactic Survival for you to test. Experimental Update v1.9.1.0 implements a new method that improves frame rates called Occlusion Culling.
Occlusion Culling is a process that disables the rendering of objects when they’re currently not in your field of view. In the case of Empyrion - Galactic Survival, decorations and NPCs in rooms that you cannot see in POIs like the Deep Radar Space Complex are not rendered. This results in FPS boosts, especially if you’re in large areas.
It’s important to note that Occlusion Culling is disabled when you activate godmode. So, if you want to improve your frame rates, it’s better to not use godmode at all.
Experimental Update v1.9.1.0 also includes hotkeys for control panel signals and device groups. For example, the Signals Column can be toggled by pressing CTRL + ALT then any number from one to eight.
