NetherRealm Studios has released the first gameplay trailer for Enchantress, the second DLC character for Injustice 2’ s Fighter Pack 3, featuring a relatively new style of fighting for the DC Comics fighting game. It also tells Injustice 2 players which day she will be available to download.
Enchantress is the villain of the Suicide Squad movie. She’s imbued with centuries of magical power and it really shows in her first gameplay trailer for Injustice 2. Check it out below.
The first move we see from Enchantress is a standing counter: she does a pose and when her opponent attempts to hit her, she disappears and reappears from above. Enchantress’ strikes don’t seem especially strong, but each one gives off a trail of green magic. Perhaps this gives her a little more reach.
Enchantress can also create a wall of magic to repel projectiles. It also seems that, after another input, Enchantress can send the projectile back at the opponent. She can dash forward and disappear to cut the ground between her and her opponent and even summon the undead.
Enchantress has a second counter, creating a green diamond. When she is about to get hit, her opponent will be trapped inside a large diamond before being pushed backwards. The newest Injustice 2 character can also cast a spell around the opponent’s head, slowing down the opponent’s fall and allowing for more combo opportunities. She can also cast a spell to take over the opponent’s body and force them to move closer to you.
Enchantress’ playstyle is unlike anything Injustice 2 players have seen so far. She can trap opponents in giant cubes, teleport behind opponents, summon interdimensional limbs to appear from the sky and so much more.
Enchantress will be available to download on PS4 and Xbox One starting Jan. 9 for those who have purchased Fighter Pack 3 or have the Ultimate Edition. Those looking to download her separately will have to wait a week.
