Epic Seven announced that it is releasing a new Pet System to make gameplay more fun. It's not all pets, however, as this turn-based mobile RPG is also making improvements to its Memory Imprint system. These changes are not a surprise to players, since it had already been announced previously in the roadmap.
Pet System
Players can now own pets, which can be bought through different channels that include regular gameplay as well as shop purchases. The addition of pets in Epic Seven is expected to improve the gameplay experience.
There are going to be two types of pets:
- Battle Pets
- Enables Repeat Battling
- Interacts automatically with objects
- Provides additional battle rewards
- Lobby Pets
- Gives players gifts
- Provides additional benefits in non-battle content. This includes lowered Gold prices when enhancing.
With this new system, players can now collect different types of pets, including special pets that have more unique appearances. The pets are managed through a new Pet House and when enhanced, give even greater benefits.
Memory Imprint System
This system has been reworked to ensure that Epic Seven players can make use of their duplicate Heroes better. So what's the difference?
Before the update, when enhancing a Hero with a duplicate, players needed to unlock a Devotion Skill to increased the stats for the Hero's teammates. With this new improvement, Devotion Skills are not split into two types. The first is Imprint Release, which affects the Hero's teammates. The second is Imprint Concentration, which only affects the Hero.
In addition to these two major changes, the game also buffed nine Heroes. These include Assassin Cid, Specimen Sez, and Tenenbria. These changes should ensure that they are more effective when it came to PvP content.
Publisher Smilegate Megaport Business Department Manager Sanghoon Lee said in a press statement that players have long been anticipating the introduction of the new Pet System and the reworked version of the Memory Imprint. He went on to say that after the update, they are going to "continue to listen closely to player opinion to refine them even further. We hope everyone enjoys the new content."
