Fighting game fans across the world are once again set to be reunited with the return of the Evolution Championship Series, aka Evo, which is slated from August 5 to 7 in Las Vegas. This will be the first time since 2019 that Evo once again takes place in-person, owing to the global pandemic which caused problems for physical conventions worldwide. Besides confirming which games made it to the lineup for competitors, Sony also announced an Evo Lounge livestream that will feature “exciting content and reveals” from some major fighting game developers and publishers.

Here are the titles confirmed for Evo Las Vegas 2022:
- Street Fighter V: Champion Edition
- Guilty Gear -Strive-
- Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate
- Tekken 7
- The King of Fighters XV
- Melty Blood: Type Lumina
- Dragonball FighterZ
- Granblue Fantasy: Versus
- Skullgirls: 2nd Encore
Excited fans can tune into the broadcasts on the official YouTube and Twitch channels to see their favorite games in action. Viewers can also check into the official events page for Evo for more information on the upcoming games.
As for which publishers and developers are part of the Evo Lounge presentation, PlayStation listed Arc System Works, Warner Bros. Games, Capcom, SNK, and Bandai Namco Entertainment. We can expect to see new content announced for these publishers and developers, and if you’re a fan of the fighting game scene, you will not want to miss Evo 2022.
For the games that will most likely be presented on the Lounge, we can expect new upcoming content for Guilty Gear -Strive- (Arc System Works), Granblue Fantasy: Versus (Arc System Works), Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate (Warner Bros. Games) and The King of Fighters XV (SNK). What’s interesting is that several other publishers may also do more with regards to major big reveals, including Street Fighter 6 and Tekken 7 both from Capcom.
In addition to content breakdowns from these developers and publishers, viewers can also expect player interviews, match coverages, bracket updates, and more. They will be streamed via a different cast on the official PlayStation media channels on YouTube and Twitch.
