The strategy shooter hybrid Eximius: Seize the Frontline officially launched The Breakthrough update. In addition to new content, it also marks the official start of Season 3. That’s not all since the game is also now available on the Epic Game Store and comes with full cross-platform multiplayer.
In a statement, Ammobox Studios Director Jeremy Choo revealed that the game continues to expand and offers more opportunities for growth and experimentation. He added that they wanted commanders to have the choice in playing between first-person shooter and real-time strategy. Choo added that they’re looking forward to launching new divisions on both AXR and GSF in the near future.
What can players expect from this new update? For starters, players can experience fully revamped graphics and optimized systems, thanks to Unreal Engine 5. There’s now a chance to create a capable team of commandos by recruiting freshly reworked units from:
- Support Crawler
- APC
- Specialist
- Armory and Deployed Mule
- Service Ironguard

The Season 3 update for Eximius: Seize the Frontline is now available on the Epic Game Store free as part of the weekly giveaway. It’s also available on Steam and the Humble Store at a 75% launch week discount. The game features English, German, Russian, and Chinese (Simplified and Traditional) language support.
Eximius: Seize the Frontline is a game where rival security contractors fight for total control of a devolving dystopian world. The field is currently being dominated by two forces. The first is the peacekeeping organization known as Global Security Force while the second is a private research organization called AXR. The funny thing is that both sides believe that they are the ones who can put a stop on the downfall of society. Because of this, the two groups are doing what they can to get complete authority.
The game mixes tactical gameplay with real-time strategy where players assemble a powerful team of hand-picked units for 5v5 squad-based combat.
