Eximius: Seize the Frontline developer, Ammobox Studios, recently released a new update that reworked grenades and fixed some bugs.

Grenades got a small rework that changed three of its mechanics. The biggest change is that grenades will now have faster throwing and equipping animations, helpful for an FPS/RTS game. This change also allows players to spam grenades quicker.

Gameplay

  • Berserker Kinetic Collector can now be canceled by Exploit Vanguard Hack. The Kinetic Collector will not deal any damage after canceled
  • Scout Jammer is now a Commander Ability. Needs to be unlocked from TCU
  • Specialist Strike Team Sniper Laser Alert is now more accurate on Moving Targets
  • Exploit Vanguard Hacking. When looking away from the target while Hacking, the Hacking Signal will keep dropping. Once the Hacking Signal reaches zero, the Hacking Process is canceled.
  • Emergency Shield Pack Now Cancels Interaction (e.g Capture) When Activated

Grenades Rework - Two Other Changes

  • Improved Grenade Throwing Behaviour
  • Removed Grenade Cooking Timer

UI/UX

  • Commanders can now Capture Resource and Victory Points through Minimap
  • Ironguard Activate Protocol Command will now show up if all selected units in the group are Ironguard
  • Throw Explosive Packs commands will now only show if all the selected units are Demolishers
  • Throw Grenade commands will now only show if all the selected units are Marine/Elite Marine

Balances Changes

  • Recon drone and Phantom Drone ability cost is reduced to 600C/0P/600S from 1200C/0P/600S
  • GSF Smoke Launcher's smoke duration increased to 12 seconds from 8 seconds
  • GSF Cyclone HWS Precision Strike rounds increased to four from two

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed locked down Power Reactor giving +6 Energy instead of doubling the Resource it's locked to
  • Fixed Stealth Crawler turning off Stealth Mode and attacking after it's detected when it's Stealth Mode is manually turned on by Commander
  • Fixed Trucks Hitbox
  • Fixed Smoke VFX disappearing instantly instead of fading out when expired
  • Fixed Non-Production Structures being able to set Rally Points
