For PS4 Pro specifically, fans with Sony’s augmented current-gen console will be able to enjoy Fallout 4 in native 1440p resolution with increased draw distance and enhanced God ray effects. Bethesda PR guru Pete Hines promised the patch was still in the works, and his team has delivered. The exact same update went live on PC earlier this week, except it also brought support for an official high-res texture pack designed for exceptionally powerful hardware.
It’s worth noting that some users have reported mod compatibility problems with the new patch on consoles, but those issues appear to be fairly isolated.
With the bulk of Fallout 4’s development behind it, Bethesda Game Studios will soon shift its full attention to a new project that has yet to be revealed. The game maker has several concepts in the works that push the expected arrival of Elder Scrolls VI to the distant future.
Fallout 4 is available now on PC, Xbox One and PS4.
