A new Fallout 4 cheat by way of a Dogmeat duplication glitch has been found in Bethesda’s latest Fallout 4 update 1.3 , effectively canceling out the cheat’s patch. While the update brought a number of new features and bug fixes to PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 gamers such as an ambient occlusion setting ( HBAO+ ), weapon debris effects and status menu for settlers, some users were disappointed to find the update killed a previous Dogmeat duplication glitch.
But one week after the 1.3 released, YouTuber, Hey Im Starlord , revealed a new Fallout 4 cheat that works inside the latest update. In a video tutorial showcasing the Dogmeat item duplication glitch, Hey Im Starlord shows how simple it is to dupe items.. In fact, it’s pretty similar to the old method.
To access the glitch, users must do the following:
- Drop an item on the floor.
- Once it’s dropped on the floor, tell Dogmeat to go pick it up
- As he bends to pick it up, hit the “Take” (A button on PS4, X on Xbox One) a bunch of times as fast as you can.
- If you are successful, Dogmeat should duplicate the item. The original will return to your inventory and the duplicate from Dogmeat drops will be on the ground
While Hey, I’m Starlord says the glitch isn’t perfect, and he’s still working on refining the technique, for Fallout 4 fans who enjoyed using the duplication cheat before, this new glitch should be welcome news.
The Dogmeat duplication bug allows Fallout 4 players to cheat a little in the game and build up a virtually unlimited supply of anything in a player’s inventory including ammo, weapons and settlement resources like copper and glass. You can always sell the duped items for caps or max out your SPECIAL attributes by dropping the “You're SPECIAL" book found under Shaun's dresser .
