Fallout 76 is all set to release Update 22 this coming September 15. Once live, the update going to introduce new features like One Wasteland, Daily Ops, and even Legendary Perks. It’s also going to mark the start of the Season 2. Today we take a quick look into what players can expect with this new season.
New S.C.O.R.E.board
Season 2 is going to bring what is known as the “Armor Ace: S.C.O.R.E.board." With this, players get to join Armor Ace and the Power Patrol as they fight for freedom against the Subjugator and his army of Red Vipers. In this one, players have the chance to rank up over the course of 10 weeks. For each rank achieved, there’s going to be new rewards unlocked.
Overall there’s going to be a total of 100 ranks available for Season 2 and rewards include Armor Ace Power Armor and Red Viper Armor. Then there are also weapon skins and a Greenhouse Building set. These are just some of the many rewards up for grabs in Season 2.
New Season Tweaks
There’s also going to be some adjustments arriving with the new season. One interesting change is that rank-ups can now be purchased immediately. This means that those who have the Atoms can go rank up on the same day that the new season starts.
There’s also going to be more rewards in Season 2. These include, among others, Lunchboxes, Ammo Converter, Chicken Coop, and even Gold Bullion vendors. Hopefully, this should give players who missed these items during The Legendary Run another shot to get them. There’s also going to be new Dailies and Weeklies like Daily Ops themed Challenges. This should give players more day-to-day variety as they progress through the season.
According to the team at Fallout 76, they have received feedback from some players saying that there are those who don’t have that much time in the day to play. In answer to this, the team said in a post that they are going “to add some more Weeklies to the Challenge lineup so that players have more flexibility to rank up on their schedules.”
Finally, Season 2 is also going to see the return of Double S.C.O.R.E. Throughout the new season there’s going to be several Double S.C.O.R.E. events that allow players the ability to get twice as much S.C.O.R.E.
