During this free weekend, the full game can be played solo or through co-op mode with a friend.
Once the free weekend is done, players have the choice to keep their progression if they buy the game. The good news is Far Cry 5 is being offered with as much as an 85% discount for both Standard and Gold Editions. The Gold Edition includes the base game along with the Season Pass and Deluxe Pack.
End the Cult’s Control
Far Cry 5 takes place in the fictional region of Hope County, which is in Montana in the US. It revolves around a doomsday cult called the Project at Eden's Gate led by Joseph Seed. Players take on the role of a junior deputy sheriff trapped in Hope County and must free the county from the cult.
Topple a Dictator
Far Cry 6 is currently being prepared for its launch on October 7 this year. This time around, it’s set in the fictional Caribbean island of Yara. The island is ruled by a dictator known as El Presidente, who is also raising his son to follow in his footsteps. In this game, players take on the role of the guerilla fighter Dani Rojas, who is working to bring down Castillo and his regime.
While this one has a different story, the gameplay is similar to previous titles where players have to use makeshift weapons and hire Amigos. There’s also a new Fangs for Hire system.
One of the things that players can expect from this upcoming game is the Season Pass, which comes with three DLC episodes that lets them play as antagonists of the previous games. These are Vaas Montenegro of Far Cry 3, Pagan Min of Far Cry 4, and cult leader Joseph Seed of Far Cry 5.
Don’t forget to try out Far Cry 5 as a way to prepare for Far Cry 6 . Have fun!
