Far Harbor, the latest DLC coming to Fallout 4, is set to release at midnight on May 19. Remember that Far Harbor, like the other DLC packs before it, will not automatically download, so you’ll have to take action if you want to get gaming as soon as possible. Check the game file details on your respective console of choice and you'll see a notification when it's ready to install.
To download and install the Far Harbor Fallout 4 DLC, follow these steps:
Make sure you have the latest patch for Fallout 4
According to Steam Database, the file size for Far Harbor is just under 3GB, so make sure you have the hard drive space for it as well
On PS4, go to the ‘New Release’ section of the DLC menu
On Xbox One or Steam, find the Fallout 4 store pageIf you don’t have the Season Pass, you will have to purchase Far Harbor separately for $24.99
Begin your download
Once installed, load up Fallout 4 and go to the “Add Ons” option in the main menu. Select Far Harbor, and you’re good to go! In order to start the Far Harbor quests, you must have progressed enough in Fallout 4 to have met Nick Valentine and gone to Diamond City. Keep that in mind if you can’t find the quests immediately. If you have done all that, check your quest log to find out where to go next.
There is no level requirement either, so don’t feel like you will be too weak to progress in Far Harbor.
