The annual community event for Farming Simulator 22 is just around that corner. That's right! FarmCon 22 is set to take place from July 21 to July 24. The event starts with an international stream on the official Twitch Channel, followed by a weekend of face-to-face meetings. By the way, like most events nowadays, this one will follow a hybrid format.
Live Streaming
For the kick-off event, there's a two-hour stream with developers sharing what's currently being worked on and what fans can expect to come out this year. Some of the highlights to expect are:
- A first look at Platinum Expansion which features various machines and a new map known as Silverrun Forest.
- Unveiling of two new packs scheduled to come out later this year.
- Feature on modding.
- A look across the pond to Kubota in the USA.
- Retrospective on the topic of Precision Farming.
In-Person Event
The in-person event starts on July 23 at the John Deere Forum in Mannheim, Germany; there will be more detailed presentations and lectures on the topics discussed during the livestream. There's also a Baling Royale competition at the event where players virtually stack bales against the clock. Those in attendance also have the chance to meet with employees from GIANTS Software and even listen to a panel of two German content creators.
In a statement, Head of Publishing at GIANTS Software Boris Stefan revealed that the anticipation for this year's FarmCon is increasing, and they have a lot of new stuff to share with the community. He added that besides product news for the game, they're also looking forward to personal conversations.
Farming Simulator is a series of farming simulation video games where players farm, grow crops, breed livestock, and sell assets. The locations in the game are mainly based on environments in the US and Europe. Farming Simulator 22 was released in November 2021, which featured a seasonal cycle, gear shifting, and production chains for harvested crops and livestock products. It also added new crops like grapes, olives, and sorghum, plus more than 400 vehicles and tools. Farming Simulator 22 is available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Stadia.
