Car guys may know that Cuba is the home of jalopies that have been on the road since Kennedy was in office, but boy does the city of Havana do it with style. The upcoming Fast and Furious movie is currently shooting scenes in Cuba, which may involve the origin story of Dom Toretto. Actor Vin Diesel and the official Fast and Furious social media shared teasers of the shoot earlier this week.

Twitter posts on Friday revealed some behind-the-scenes material for the upcoming film. "You can feel the emotion from all the locals," said Fast 8 director F. Gary Gray. "We couldn't recreate this... anywhere."
"We heard you—We heard that you all wanted more racing in the movie," said Diesel.
The Fast and Furious franchise is known to break records (how about Furious 7 grossing $1 billion in 17 days) and Fast 8 is no different despite the fact that the movie will not arrive in theaters until April 14, 2017. As Diesel said in the video, the Fast 8 will represent the first major Hollywood movie to shoot in Cuba, which is a big deal for the Cuban economy.
"This'll go down in Cuba's history, in U.S. history, in cinematic history, and in history itself," says what looks to be a local Cuban.
Fast 8 arrives on April 14, 2017. Are you excited for the new movie? Let us know in the comments below!
