Soccer (or football, as the rest of the world likes to call it) is popular in South America and the Conmebol Libertado is considered the highest level of competition in this part of the world. Starting on March 3, FIFA 20 is going to include the biggest club tournament in South America as a free content update. Players finally get the chance to experience the passion and intensity that this competition has to offer.
Tournament Mode
There's going to be a lot of new things arriving to the game once this content drops. There's the Conmebol Libertadores Tournament Mode, for example. Here players get to go head-to-head against of the most famous and historic clubs in soccer. These include River Plate, Boca Juniors, Flamengo, Racing Club, C.A. Independiente, Millonarios, Fluminense, and Universidad Católica, among others. Players can compete against these teams from the Group Stage all the way to the Final.
This mode even offers a branded Tournament Hub that comes with Dynamic News, as well as the latest tournament standings, fixtures, and results in order to keep players updated on all that’s happening throughout the competition. During the Conmebol Libertadores launch, the 28 teams that qualified in the Group Stages of the real-world 2020 Conmebol Libertadores are going to be included in the Tournament Mode. The four other clubs are then going to be taken randomly from the current South American leagues in FIFA 20.
Other Features
Kick Off is where players not only get to enjoy Conmebol Libertadores and Conmebol Sudamericana, but also the two-legged Conmebol Recopa. Meanwhile, Career Mode brings all three tournaments together and allows players access to authentic competition structures as well as match presentation.
In addition, FIFA 20 Ultimate Team is going to let players get the ultimate connection to Conmebol Libertadores with custom content. This includes select special items and themed in-game content as they assemble their dream squad.
