If you’re a fan of collecting physical releases but your copies of Final Fantasy 3, 4, 7 or 8 have long since been shattered by the whims of fate, time, and that one little cousin who got into your stuff when you were 13, fear not. Final Fantasy 3 and 4 and Final Fantasy 7 and 8 are being sold as physical two-pack bundles for PC via Amazon UK .
The listing for the Final Fantasy double releases are here if you’d like to see it for yourself. According to the listing, the physical copies will be available on May 27 and are enhanced editions, retailing at £19.99.
The boxes for Final Fantasy 3/4 and Final Fantasy 7/8 will contain a disc and a manual and will be in DVD format. However, the retailer warns:
“DISC DOES NOT CONTAIN FULL GAME. INTERNET CONNECTION NEEDED FOR FULL DATA DOWNLOAD.”
So while these double releases are at a good price for a physical edition, they will not actually contain the entire copy of the games. Instead you’ll be required to download the rest of the games after a partial install as some kind of anti-piracy measure.
No similar editions are currently listed on Amazon.com .
