Square Enix is set to release the Final Fantasy VII: Remake Intergrade just a week from now. To prepare you for what’s to come, the base version of the game has gotten an update to let you migrate your save files just in time before Intergrade releases on June 10.
PS4 users who already have the base game are eligible to download Intergrade for free. However, PS5 users will have to buy it separately because the INTERmission DLC will be their reward as part of the package. INTERmission features the Yuffie episode.
When you fire up the FF VII Remake today , you should receive a notification prompting you to download a patch that introduces the data transference feature.
Once installed, you will be advised to upload your saved data and you can do so to as many saved files as you like. There is just one slight problem: You need to have plenty of space in your console’s hard drive.
You see, the base version of the game is already 86 GB and you must have it installed in your system until you’ve migrated all your save files.
It is still unclear how much space the Intergrade upgrade will consume, but it is safe to say that it will be more than 100 GB because you have to account for INTERmission as well.
This isn’t a huge deal if you only have a couple of games on your console, but it can be a real problem if you are the type of person that installs a lot of games in the library.
Free Summon DLC Pack
Now for some good news. To hype up the release of Intergrade and INTERmission, the developers are giving away a summon materia DLC pack, which contains Carbuncle, Cactuar, and the Chocobo Chick. You can also expect to receive five additional accessories to further customize your characters.
Keep in mind that the DLC item pack is a separate download but it is a good thing that the company is including this as a small token of appreciation.
