Final Fantasy XV gameplay and battle footage is coming during the next ATR (Active Time Report), during which the FFXV team plans to share these details plus information on the Niflheim Empire and much more.
The link is to the SquareEnixPresents Youtube account, where past ATRs are archived. For an example of what to expect, here’s the last ATR with director Hajime Tabata and Marketing Manager Akio Ofuji from Tokyo Game Show 2015 :
The Final Fantasy XV team also shared some screenshots in advance of their ATR, which we have previously seen from last week’s Jump magazine:
In other Final Fantasy XV news, Final Fantasy XV has done away with traditional difficulty settings. Instead of choosing between usual difficulty settings like Easy, Normal, Hard and Very Hard, Final Fantasy XV players will be able to select a battle mode that adjusts the speed and style of their game experience to their liking.
“By having this ability to switch modes, we want to make it so that both players who like action oriented, technical gameplay and also those who want to fight at a slower, more relaxed pace can all enjoy the combat in their own style,” explained Lead Game Designer Takizawa Masashi via the Final Fantasy XV forum .
While Final Fantasy XV ’s release date has yet to be announced, the team has been firm on a 2016 release date. In an interview with Eurogamer, Tabata stated , “You won't be waiting until 2017. We want to get that across. We want to reassure people that we are going to get it out." Final Fantasy XV will be the first main entry in the Final Fantasy series to be released simultaneously in all markets.
