The CW has released a scene from The Flash Season 2 finale episode, “The Race of His Life.” In it, Barry and Team Flash discuss Zoom’s suspicious request to race Barry once again. Thank god for Joe and Harrison Wells, who assure Barry and Cisco that Zoom’s motive isn’t simply to see who is the fastest man alive.
Wells discovers Mercury Labs is developing a magnetar. English please… it’s a power amplifier with highly magnetized dense rotating core? Essentially, everything that happened in Cisco’s wild vibe is because of that machine. If it has the right power source (aka Barry’s speed), it can decimate more than just a single planet. So now Zoom wants to take out every planet in the multiverse, and according to Wells, there is an infinite number of planets in the multiverse. One pulse destroys them all.
When Barry and Zoom race together, the amplifier will siphon their energy to create a huge magnetic pulse. Looks like Vibe is going to have no choice but to learn how to harness his vibrational control over the multiverse...or it’ll be the end of the world as we know it.
