The Flash Season 2 episode 16, “Trajectory,” doesn't air until March 22. We already know Eliza Harmon will be making her debut as the speedster Trajectory, but there may be someone else joining her this season: Rupture. The ‘Hound of Mordeth’ is the alter ego of Armando Ramon, Vibe’s brother.
The evidence comes from a leaked set photo that shows what appears to be a metahuman dressed in a costume that looks all too similar to Rupture’s gear. Take a look:
Rupture possesses similar abilities to his brother, Vibe. Since the team Flash closed the last Earth 2 portal, Rupture may have to be a metahuman from Earth 1. Cisco’s brother Dante was introduced as an arrogant pianist in the Season 1 episode, “Rogue Time.” Cisco has never mentioned Armando.
At the end of the last episode, Barry says he wants to figure out a way to get the portal back open. In that case, Rupture could be the Earth 2 version of either of his brothers. In the comics, Armando has many aliases. Reverb is one of them, but we’ve already met Reverb as Cisco’s Earth 2 doppleganger. Armando is also known as Hardline. Cisco’s second brother, Dante, doesn't have an established second identity.
When Cisco meets Reverb, he is surprised to learn that there is more to his abilities than he thought. If this character turns out to be Rupture, maybe Cisco will figure out the full extent of his powers. At this point it, has not been officially confirmed that the character pictured above is Rupture, however it is certain that Eliza Harmon will appear in the next episode.
Known as Trajectory, she was introduced in the comics as Lex Luther’s speedster. TV Line’s Matt Webb Mitovich reports that in The Flash , she’s as an “exceptionally bright scientist” with a “split personality a la Jekyll and Hyde.” Her powers don’t come naturally, she was given her speed abilities as part of Lex Luther’s Everyman Project. Will she just be a petty thief, or will she have something to do with Harrison Wells and Caitlin Snow’s Velocity 9 serum?
Meanwhile, we’re still waiting to discover the identity of Zoom, who we know is some version of Hunter Zolomon, a.k.a. Jay Garrick. Maybe even more pressing is the identity of the man behind the mask being held captive by Zoom, who tapped the letters J.A.Y. on the glass when Jesse and The Flash were also captured by Zoom.
Trajectory Isn't exactly a supervillain in the comics, but will she end up joining team Flash? Find out March 22 at 8 p.m. on the CW.
