Supergirl has been on break since The Flash crossover episode, “Worlds Finest.” Barry Allen and Kara Danvers proved they have amazing superhero chemistry and now Supergirl fans are itching for news about the next crossover. Executive Producer Andrew Kreisberg just gave us a glimpse of hope that something is in the works.
Kreisberg caught up with Entertainment Weekly ’s “Spoiler Room” column and teased an Earth-1 Flash-Supergirl crossover where Kara Danvers takes on a new superhero name, Power Girl (also Kara Zor-El). When asked if Kara Danvers would appear on The Flash , the producer said, “Yes, but … Any Kara that exists on Earth 1 would also have to have been an alien. It can’t just be Kara Danvers from Poughkeepsie.”
A fan specifically asked, “Does that mean she could be a potential super (or maybe a power ) girl on his Earth, too?”
Kreisberg responded, “Sure, different costume, but sure.”
The Flash is huge on alter-ego’s, doppelgangers, and Earth-2 clones so it’s not too surprising that is Greg Berlanti’s vision for Supergirl's Earth-1 introduction. It’s unclear when, or if, CW already has another crossover planned. There wasn’t enough of The Flash’s storyline was incorporated in the first Flash-Supergirl crossover, nor is Supergirl mentioned in The Flash episodes surrounding the crossover. Hopefully, this won’t be the case next time around.
The next Supergirl episode, “Myriad,” introduces WWE Divas Champion Eve Torres Maxima. Kara will team up with Maxwell Lord and Cat Grant to take down Non’s brainwashed army, according to the synopsis below:
Kara must find a way to free her friends when Non and Indigo use mind control to turn National City's citizens into their own army.
Supergirl airs Monday at 8 p.m. on CBS.
